kinoflare
kinoflare is a software development studio founded in Seoul in December 2023. We find problems in real events and media operations, turn them into products, and run those products ourselves.
We build and operate PikFind, AI event-photo search, and developed the technology behind NULX video infrastructure (service operated by CONTROL BEAT Co., Ltd.). The ticketing platform of the Seoul International Dance Festival, the ControlBeat site and the Try Failing startup simulator were also built by kinoflare.
What we do
We build and run our own products. What we learn operating them goes straight into the design of client projects.
We take client web, app and AI products from design through development, deployment and handover. Over 15 years we have delivered hundreds of projects for companies from Kolon, Samsung and LG to startups and businesses in Australia and China.
How we work
- One person is responsible from the first call to handover, so context is never lost between people.
- During development we split tasks across Claude Code, Codex and Gemini; design and final review stay with a human.
- We choose structures that cost little to operate. This site and most of our references run on serverless and edge platforms.
- Payment is split 50% deposit, 30% at checkpoint and 20% at handover and source delivery.
