From upload to face search to handover — event photo delivery
Overview
A marathon or festival produces thousands of photos at once, yet attendees still hunt for their own by hand. With PikFind the organizer shares one link and each guest retrieves only their own photos from a single selfie. Proven at a real event with 5,184 photos.
Challenge
Face search must be accurate and fast at once, and handling biometric data demands privacy-first design. It also needed a pipeline that processes and serves thousands of high-resolution photos quickly.
Approach
- Built face-embedding similarity search so one selfie finds only that person’s photos among thousands.
- Designed privacy in by default: selfies are deleted the moment the search finishes, and only invited guests can browse.
- Tied the whole event flow together: per-photographer uploads, a bulk photo pipeline, and a results report for sponsors.
